Yet another departure

Thai Port boss Thongchai Sukkokee has confirmed to TLO that Mongkol Namnaud and Todsapol Lated have been snapped up by a rival team, whilst Worawut Wangsawad (pictured below-left) has also agreed terms with another club - rumoured to be Suphanburi FC. The 30-year-old midfielder has also been linked with Sisaket and his former club TTM.

Thongchai went on to state that Mong & Todsapol could still feature for Port in the Toyota League Cup Final vs Buriram on February 4th. The game kicks-off at 5:00pm or 5:30pm (get there early) and will be televised on Channel 3.

UPDATE: Manager.co.th reckon that Worawut has indeed signed for Suphanburi. It doesn't look like he will be playing in the Cup Final - Munze and Moise, however, might be able to play. Thai Port spokesman Denphong Pongyaat claims that the club hope to pay 2-months wages to the players and staff before the end of January...

  2. Wow, are we actually gonna have a team next year? Guess the wage bill will have significantly reduced at least!!!

The old dream in England is the young lad always taking his boots to is Favorite teams games in the hope that somehow the team will inexplicably not be able to make 11 men and the manager will look into the crowd and pick him out to fill the roll. Thailand being Thailand, I don't think port are far from this.

I actually am thinking about turning up for training, telling them I'll play for peanuts and seeing where it gets me?................Probably up front alongside Fab at this rate.

The final will be interesting, at least, if nothing else it may give those leaving players a bit of fire in the belly to play for the ones that are staying and knowing it will be their swan song in the blue and orange.

  3. It looks like it'll be all change next year, mate! They'll have to sort things out soon. The new TPL season starts in just 7 weeks. Pre-season matches will probably start in about 4 weeks time. We might have to organize 5-a-side games at this rate!
